Yorkshire barn conversions near completion

Situated in a tranquil setting near to Barnsley and Huddersfield.

The project consists of extending and converting, what were near derelict barns, into 5 new luxury residential properties.

Orientated around a central courtyard and with long ranging views over the surrounding countryside. The properties range from 2 to 4 bedrooms.

The bulk of the construction work is now completed on the barns. Over the coming weeks the internal fixtures and finishes will also be completed. As will the external landscaping.

Our favourite aspect of the build is presently the mix of the old and new. Some of the existing roofs were previously in a very bad condition (with large areas of tiles no longer there). We have used new standing seam roofs to give a modern feel. While also respecting the agricultural setting of the barns.

For a contrast with the existing old brickwork of the barns, the extensions have used timber cladding. Highlighting the change from new to old.

We have enjoyed working on the project and can’t wait to see it fully completed ready for some lucky people to move in to.
