As RIBA Chartered Practice Architects, we adhere to a strict code of practice that ensures the highest standards in all areas of architecture and business operations. To qualify as a RIBA Chartered Practice, a company must have at least one fully qualified and registered architect and meet rigorous professional requirements. This commitment covers everything from up-to-date industry knowledge to legal obligations and environmental responsibility.
You can find more out about the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) on their website here
To be a registered architect you must have passed the criterial set by The Architects Registration Board (the ARB). While also maintaining your place on their register. To find out more about the ARB, take a look at their website. Studio J’s managing director, James Butterworth, has been a qualified and registered architect since 2006. Project Architect, Jacqueline Mo, has also been on the architects’ register since 2006. The third member of our team, Tom Booth is a qualified architectural technologist. This is a slightly different discipline, primarily dealing with the more technical site of architecture. However this is just as important to the team to ensure we have expertise throughout all areas.
