The existing 1930’s dormer bungalow is tired and dated with little improvements made over recent years. The new owner gave the brief to update the property for modern living along with creating more space for first floor bedrooms.
The final designs include changing the rear part of the roof from hipped to gable and extending out 2m to give a generous master bedroom and en-suite with views over the rear garden. A second bedroom and en-suite is created to the front of the property at first floor.
Downstairs there is; a large kitchen diner, generous living room with bi-folding doors to the garden, a third double bedroom with en-suite, games room / 4th bedroom plus house bathroom.
Finally the existing dilapidated garage is to be demolished and rebuilt new on a larger footprint.
Planning permission was granted with no significant conditions and we are now progressing the building regulation drawings and detailed design with the aim to start the works as soon as possible.
Below are plans and elevations of the existing property and the approved planning drawings.
