Working on bespoke designed luxury new build houses is what we love to do at Studio J Architects. And this project was no different.

Our client, a private property developer, had bought the plot with an existing planning approval. However it was not how they were wanting the house to be. There was also some difficult planning conditions to resolve. Not least trees with TPO’s (tree protection orders) very close to the proposed new house.

The site was also a steep sloping site meaning a “less standard” layout for the property would be required.

Working with a developer, rather than a known end user, the design had to appeal to a wide cross section of people. Care was taken to ensure key aspects were included within the property that are desirable to the higher end family market.

A large kitchen-diner opens out onto a terrace via bi-fold doors. Adjacent to the kitchen is a formal dining room and also a generous family living room.

In total there are 5 double bedrooms, 2 with en-suites plus a family bathroom. For that added bit of luxury, there is also a steam room within the master bedroom en-suite.

Further accommodation includes; an office, utility, boot room, WC and integral double garage with workshop area.
