Studio J was commissioned by a private developer to investigate the financial viability of a prime yet contentious site in Headingley. The client required a minimum of twenty-five 2 bed apartments on the site.
Liaising closely with the planning department to ensure that strict guidelines were adhered to, we developed several schemes to illustrate potential options for the site. Initial designs consisted of 2 blocks each housing 13 apartments.
Subsequently, with complications relating to the site creating potential significant additional construction costs, the client choose not to continue with the project. Our detailed feasibility study was crucial in enabling the client to make this decision and establish accurate costs of the project before committing to developing the site.
