Studio J were asked to design a mixed use development in a prime location within central Ackworth. A 140m² stand alone retail unit fronted the main road with a row of 5No 3 bedroom townhouses to the rear of the site. The buildings are constructed using high quality locally sourced natural stone to the external walls with a high level of finishes used internally. Studio J took the project from initially feasibility studies through planning and building regulations approval and over saw the construction on site. We were thrilled when commissioned to work on this exciting project in north Leeds. The clients had recently bought a run down 3 bedroom detached property that had not been updated in many years. Working closely with the client developing various options for the scheme, the final design sees a radical change to the property both externally and internally. A 2 storey extension has been added to the side & rear and the whole internal layout has been rearranged for modern living.
